Heat waves & winds of change

My fourth week on the job was marked by a definite change of pace. This week, things started to fall into place: goals of my analyses started to make cohesive sense, preparing the last of my calibration standards according to the last few weeks' protocol was a breeze, everything started to feel a little less frantic.

You could chalk it up to the massive heat wave sweeping (slowly) through Europe, or maybe a little bit of experience.

Regardless, I head into this week with all of my samples in the LC- high resolution mass spectrometer for analysis and lab work hopefully behind me, a few new friends to share the occasional humus dinner with, and an amazing weekend trip to Berlin behind me.

I am excited for what the winds of change may bring this week: hopefully some respite from 90+ degree weather, and some interesting data peaks to analyze.
